Our mind is a non-stop chatterbox that incessantly creates all sorts of thoughts–good, bad, relevant, or irrelevant. With meditation, we learn to shut out the world and to still body and mind. We focus on the present moment and stop worrying about anything else. Meditation teaches us how to be in control of mind and emotions. As you progress in your meditation skills, you will find that you can meditate anywhere and at any time, accessing an inner calm, no matter what is going on around you. You will experience an increased awareness and acceptance of living in the present moment. But first, you have to learn to tame your mind.
We offer single lessons in Meditation. Test and see if this is the right approach for you to reach the meditative state. If you like it, you may take 6 more to complete a 7-session course. |
